Students studying English at CATS College Canterbury took to their aprons today to prepare a traditional English afternoon tea in the heart of England.
China tea services, table cloths and a mouth-watering array of sandwiches were on offer including salmon, chicken and egg, all made by the students themselves. Even the herbs in the meat sandwiches had been carefully grown by the students over the year.
The students joined in polite conversation with their invited guests as they continue to learn English through making things, talking with others and learning new skills. Cakes included puff pastry, Madeira and fairy cakes as the students all learned the English words for what they were doing.
Head of AEP, Diane Amiri was delighted with the wonderful afternoon and thanked the staff and students for a wonderful time they gave everyone while continuing to keep learning even more of English culture and the English language.
