Welcome from the Principal of CATS College Canterbury

Jonathan Ullmer

The aim of the College is to encourage all students to realise their potential, by fostering independence and maturity, in order to prepare them for their future as global citizens
CATS College Canterbury is a lively and exciting international College where students are developed into becoming the leaders of tomorrow. It is where the first ever UK University Foundation course started, and is where CATS College began nearly 60 years ago.

60-70 Universities visit us each year including Cambridge and London Universities to meet students, and you will find the college a friendly and lively place with strong levels of achievement.

Students are heavily involved in running a range of activities and we offer a wide range of leadership training to prepare you for university life and beyond.

You will find a close family atmosphere here in what is the safest university city in the UK with the pastoral and academic support needed to help you achieve your very best.

Jonathan Ullmer

Canterbury is a city rich in history and alive with potential, close to beaches and the most beautiful countryside in England, while being only 50 minutes train journey into London. It is a World Heritage Site with thousands of years of history all around you and the home of three UK universities.

We are all part of a caring and supportive team and both British and international students leave here with friends and contacts from all over the world.

I look forward to meeting you in person and sharing the challenges and fun of living in a caring and supportive international community in the heart of England.
