Studying Business

The spheres of regional and international business have never been so much in the news as they are today.
Studying Business will introduce you to the dynamic nature of today’s business environment, as well as giving you the opportunity to try out your own entrepreneurial skills!
Examine today's business environment
You can study Business within our International Baccalaureate, A-level or University Foundation programmes. These courses look in depth at common features of the current business environment:
- entrepreneurship
- globalisation
- the increasing importance of developing markets.
Theoretical business concepts are viewed in practise through an examination of events in the real world, helping to bring your studies to life and relate them to the world around you.
Develop language skills in key business terminology
Our students are encouraged to take an active interest in their studies, following developments within this complex and constantly changing environment through the media.
Language skills are enhanced with emphasis on the development of business terminology.
Prepare for life at a UK university
An essential aspect of the course is to prepare students for the independent learning environment of a UK university. Throughout the course you will find:
- opportunities to develop key skills in the areas of group work, presentation skills, research methods and report writing.
- case studies are used to help you develop your ability to analyse and interpret data, develop arguments, challenge assumptions and make judgements.
- emphasis is placed on putting students into multi-cultural groups, as an opportunity to explore your awareness of other cultures.
